Women's Health Osteopathy in Cirencester

Support for Hormonal Balance, Pelvic Health & Whole-Body Wellness

Osteopaths & Women's Health Treatments

As Women’s Health specialists, we provide an osteopathic approach to help your body adapt to hormonal and postural changes throughout a woman’s life from birth, puberty, pregnancy, menopause and ageing.

We consider your muscles, joints, nerves, organs and circulation and what we can do to optimise their structure and function.

We can help with abdominal and pelvic pain, difficult periods, pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse and pain during intercourse.

These conditions are not something that you have to put up with; we are here for you.

Common Women's Health Concerns We Treat:

  • Pelvic pain or discomfort

  • Postnatal recovery (including C-section support)

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Menstrual pain or irregularities

  • Digestive issues

  • Lower back or hip pain

  • Stress and fatigue related tension

  • Pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary incontinence (such as leaks when sneezing, coughing or exercising)

What is Women’s Health Osteopathy?

Women’s health osteopathy is a gentle and holistic approach focused on restoring balance and mobility throughout the body. We assess and treat not just muscles and joints, but also the pelvic organs, diaphragm, spine, and fascia — all of which are interconnected and can affect your well-being.

Visceral Osteopathy – Supporting Your Organs from the Inside Out

As part of our women’s health treatments, we also use visceral osteopathy.

“Viscera” refers to the internal organs of the body — such as the uterus, bladder, intestines, and liver. These organs are held in place and supported by ligaments, connective tissue, blood vessels, and nerves.

Through gentle manual techniques, we aim to improve the mobility and function of these internal organs. When these structures move freely and are not restricted, the body can function more efficiently and feel more balanced.

Improving organ function often leads to better digestion, reduced pelvic tension, enhanced circulation, and even improved breathing and energy.
