MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage Therapy

The aim of Massage Therapy is to assess, treat and rehabilitate a wide range of minor and persistent musculoskeletal injuries and pain. This was previously known as Clinical Sports and Remedial massage Therapy but the title change more accurately reflects what we do. A range of modalities may be used during your treatment.  Treatments are suitable for all ages and all activities, but also work or lifestyle related issues.  From the very active sporty person to the person that enjoys a bit of gardening, to the person that has found working from home has created some discomfort. 

Treatments are suitable for a wide range of issues, including:-

  • Back pain

  • Joint pain/osteoarthritis

  • Tension headaches

  • Shoulder pain including Frozen shoulder

  • Tennis/Golfers elbow

  • Overloading injuries/tendon issues/muscle pains & strains

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Parkinson disease

  • Persistent pain conditions such as ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia

  • Improve the comfort of scar tissue such as C/S scars

  • Stress

  • Ankle sprains

  • Runners knee/ITB syndrome

On your first appointment please be aware that there will be an assessment including and relevant medical history, postural assessment and special tests to identify muscle tightness and joint problems. 

It is recommended that you bring a pair of shorts for your comfort.
