During pregnancy there are hormonal and postural changes that for some women cause pain such as, back pain, rib pain and pelvic girdle pain (PGP). Our aim is to help your body adapt to these changes through the different stages of your pregnancy. Suzy and Ana have undergone extensive post graduate training in this area.

Sarah our clinical massage therapist offers pregnancy massages from 12 weeks onwards throughout your pregnancy. This helps you relax and take time out for yourself as well as relieving aches and pains. Massage will also help the circulatory and lymphatic system.

Osteopathy during Pregnany

Up to half of all women experience weakness in both the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles after pregnancy and up to a third still have a tummy gap at eight weeks post-birth. This can cause instability or poor core strength leading to women developing pelvic pain, back pain or bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction. We offer the Mummy MOT check-up which is a specialist postnatal examination for women following both vaginal and caesarean deliveries. Suitable from 8 weeks after giving birth, It is still a good check to have even if it has been a few years since your last baby and you have ongoing tummy gap or pelvic floor issues. During this comprehensive assessment, you can talk about any issues that are worrying you. The assessment looks at your posture, pelvic floor and tummy gap recovery as well as advice about exercises.
