What to expect at you first appointment in the clinic?
Whilst animal Osteopathy is a great treatment for your animal at The Hub, we want your animal and their owner to be happy, relaxed and safe. It is of utmost importance to us that your animal is comfortable and at peace for their treatment at the Hub. We suggest that if they have a favourite toy, bed or blanket you bring them or all three with you!
At the appointment, we aim to make your animal feel as comfortable and happy as possible before treatment commences. Your animal will let Lorna know what treatment they want and for how long they would like it, they can be very clear to let her know. If you are worried before your appointment, Lorna is happy for you to pop in by yourself or with your animal to get to know the Hub beforehand, you may want to pop in and have a play or give a treat in the clinic, contact us and we can get you in to facilitate this.
We look forward to your animal living the best life it can with you.
Treatment is very gentle at the Hub, Lorna will perform a full assessment as to your animal's wishes. Treatment can consist of gentle soft tissue release, conservative articulation of joints to improve range of movement, cranial treatment to improve neurological response and gentle handling to help reduce anxiety at clinical appointments such as your vets.
We try our hardest at The Hub, to be unique with all of our clients, and listen carefully to what their patient-centered outcomes are, we try our best to achieve these where we can.
It is a legal requirement for your veterinary surgeon to give permission for Osteopathic treatment at your first appointment, please download the form here and return it 24 hours before your first appointment to contact@theosteopathichub.co.uk
Horse and Rider Assessments
We are delighted at The Osteopathic Hub to offer Horse and rider assessments.
Whilst treating yourself or your equine is a great way to enhance your health and riding enjoyment, what if you could be assessed together by the same practitioner?
Could you be causing an issue in Musculoskeletal health to your horse, or could your horse be causing it to you, or could it be a combination? Good posture, gait, seat and fluidity is an essential to the equine and rider, if this is something you would like to explore, download our veterinary referral form and book in as a new patient and quote 'horse rider' for us to book you and your equine partner in for treatment.
Please note, that equine treatment must be within the boundaries of The Hub in Cirencester, as per our map. If the Equine is further than the map, please contact us before booking as an extra charge may be implemented for mileage.
